Orphans & Orphanage Support
Orphanages are vital institutions in many communities. They serve as safe havens for children who have lost parental care due to various circumstances such as abandonment, poverty, or the loss of parents.
These facilities play a crucial role in providing not only basic necessities like shelter, food, and healthcare but also emotional support and educational opportunities. Despite their pivotal role, orphanages often face financial challenges in maintaining the well-being of the children under their care.
The costs associated with providing a nurturing environment, quality education, and healthcare services can be significant. Hence, orphanages heavily rely on public support to bridge funding gaps and ensure that every child receives the care and resources needed for their holistic development.
OSH hopes that its Donations can significantly impact the well-being of these children, enabling orphanages to expand their programs, improve living conditions, and offer more opportunities for the children’s growth.
In the last 6 years, OSH has annually provided finances and other support directly to some orphans to cover their school fees and other requirements. Eight (8) orphans were supported in 2023 with a total of Fifty Seven (57) orphans supported since 2019.
OSH Provided items and/or cash support for 8 orphanages during Ramadan 2023. These Orphanages include Pious Orphanage, Motherless home (pipeline Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin), Motherless home (Ganmo, Ilorin), Waafah Childrens home and Mama Yara Orphanage (Gwadalaja)
